Forest Fest Spring Artisans Market – Fine Arts & Crafts

Wake Forest Downtown, Inc. is hosting its inaugural event “Forest Fest” celebrating the Town of Wake Forest and with acknowledgement to National Arbor Day on Saturday, April 23rd 2022. The WFGA has been invited to join this event as the fine arts are an important part of the community. We are excited about this event and the future as we move to establish our spring art market presence.
This is an indoor and outdoor market to be held at the Wake Forest Renaissance Centre.

Artist General information-
10”x10” outside spaces on the lawn between Elm Ave and the mural wall of the Renaissance Centre building. 8”x8” inside spaces in the grand ballroom of the Renaissance Centre.
For the outdoor vendors: In case of severe inclement weather there may be an option to move indoors to an 8”x8” space. The decision to move indoors in severe weather conditions will be made by the WFGA Spring Artisans Committee by 7:30am on the day of the event.
Artists must provide all material needed for display, tables, coverings, backdrops, chairs, etc. All outdoor tents/displays must be properly secured and weighted.
Indoor spaces will not be allowed to have covered tents.
Displays must fit within the designated spaces with room to maneuver around display
Only original work, handmade by the artist will be accepted. No direct sale or premade kits allowed. Prints and cards derived from the artists’ work are allowed.
If the artist misrepresents their work from the application to what is sold at the event, the artist will not be allowed to participate in any future WFGA vendor events.
Health Safety Protocols –
We will observe all COVID protocols in place for the WF Renaissance Centre. At the time of this call, masks are required for entry. We will communicate all changes in the facility protocols to artists as they occur.
Sales-
Artists must remain at booth during sales hours. Roaming volunteers will be available to watch booths for bathroom breaks, etc.
All sales will be transacted by and will go directly to artists
All participants are required to provide a valid NC Sales Tax Account ID # (9 digits, usually beginning with a 6)

Set up-
Setup will begin as early as 7:00am. Vendors are expected to be set up and prepared for customers by 8:45am. Please unload your car first and then move it to designated parking before setting up your space. Upon arrival please check in with volunteer greeters. Booth maps will be provided separately via email to the artists no later than April 17th.
Break Down
Booths are expected to remain open until 2pm.
Please respect our hosts and clean up after yourself.

Accepted artists will receive a notice by email by March 14th and payment will be due by March 20th.
All submissions may be used for promotion in social media and print. Please choose images that best represent your work in a clear, focused, and professional manner.

Payment of the fee indicates acceptance of the following –
The artist does hereby release from all liability and agree to hold harmless the Wake Forest Guild of Artists, ARTS Wake Forest, The Town of Wake Forest, Wake Forest Downtown, Inc, their employees or Boards of Directors for any injury or loss suffered or incurred by the artist or by employees, volunteers, or representatives of the artist in their activities during the Forest Fest Spring Artisans Market, including set-up and break-down. The artist also agrees to exonerate and hold harmless the listed entities from any and all liability for injury or damage to their persons or property caused by the activities of the artist or its employees, volunteers, or representatives upon said premises, including, but not limited to, any costs, including attorneys' fees.
